Deadwood Tobacco -  John and Vaughn Boyd: proprietors

After a running a successful tobacco store in California for over a decade John and Vaughn visited, an subsequently fell in love with, the little town of Deadwood, South Dakota. After passing the torch of their first effort to their children, Ryan and Sarah, they packed up everything they owned and made the trek to the Black Hills. After discovering a dusty, vacant storefront in a basement on Main Street, they poured their hearts and souls into the little shop that would grow to be Deadwood Tobacco Company. John's knowledge of period construction is shown in the remodeled space which is just like a walk back in time to the old west. Beautiful hardwoods and details not seen in modern construction abound throughout the quaint space. Vaughn brings her prestigious background of over 25 years in retail into the equation stocking the store with treats and treasures found nowhere else in the region. While being relatively new to the nightclub business they are certainly not novices when it comes to entertaining with many years of parties, special events and fundraising functions under their belt. No one rolls out the red carpet quite like the Boyds and they are especially proud of the lounge and are happy to be one of the founders and hosts of The Legends Ride. Join John and Vaughn as they welcome some stars of the cigar industry to the Sturgis Rally with exclusive tastings, meet and greet events as well as the opportunity to simply shake hands and share a cigar with some of the biggest names in the cigar business.  www.DeadwoodTobacco.com

William "Wild Bill" Rectewald -
 Ashton Cigars

The white plume rises above this MAC Book Pro ( Had to write this for Vaughn), as if something better than riding my softail, could offer that freedom where the winds glides over this bald melon, tanning its round shape, this is when the miles peel away. With an english degree from University of Toledo, I stumbled into the life and passion of cigars and bikes. I work for Ashton distributing covering 9 states, selling cigars and learning the road map of life, sometimes on the back of my Harley, other times no so much. One thing for sure there is nothing like enjoying a fine smoke with my wife Jody, (she prefers a full flavor full body smoke), yep married to the same lady from school. Cigars and my freedom are my passions. Riding on the bike or enjoying a smoke, other times its just sitting back with some old marine buddies shooting the shit, either way family, friends and freedom is where it all begins and ends with me. End of 2011 I will have been with Ashton for 5 fast, fun filled years..

Alex Merick - AstonCigars

Originating from the “Live Free or Die” state, Alex grew up with a deep appreciation of individual rights, the freedom of expression and the great outdoors of northern New Hampshire. At 18 he took $500.00 out of his savings account (which was all that he had) and bought his first motorcycle. Keeping the purchase a secret from his folks who thought ill of all motorcyclists, Alex taught himself to ride and to experience the world around him. During his tenure with Technicolor Alex would often spend his vacations on his motorcycle, with a tent, minimal supplies, a few cigars and his drive to see what was “out there”. In 2007 Alex turned another corner on life’s highway and joined Ashton Cigars. He currently covers the mid-west states surrounding Chicago always with his eyes to the horizon.

Wade Forncrook

I started smoking cigars in December of 1992 at a Christmas Party, a co-worker offered me a cigar and I took it. I have no clue what it was, I just know the next day I went and bought a good handful and the slippery slope started right there. I work part time two days a week at cigar shops in WI which allows me to smoke while I work while educating myself daily on our industry. I've been smoking two cigars a day since around '95, my favorites are currently from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Very few people on the planet are larger Packer fans than I am, I DJ a tailgate party for them for each home game and have for 12 years.
